president who comes into office with as much trouble to deal with as barack obama: a war in iraq, a war in afghanistan and the worst economic crisis we've had since the great depression. that is a huge, huge set of problems to deal with. and no matter whatever the euphoria of becoming the first african american to be elected, barack obama is a pretty serious guy about knowing what the next steps look like. and you could see some of that in him on election night in grant park.
